Judith Guenther Rutledge LUBBOCK-Judith Guenther Rutledge passed away peacefully on July 26th, 2015 in Plano, Texas, after a short battle with cancer at the age of 84.

She was born and raised in Martinsville, IN, to Ethel and William Guenther.

She went on to receive her nursing degree, and met her husband, Randolph, in St. Louis during his surgical residency program. They were married for 50 years. Following his service in the military during the Korean conflict, they settled and lived in Lubbock until 1995.

Judy raised four children while Randy practiced medicine as a general surgeon for 40 plus years. She spent the last 20 years of her life in Whitney where they retired in 1995.

She is survived by her children, Randy Rutledge of Trophy Club, Mary Ann Parker of Kyle, Robert Rutledge and wife Melissa, of Plano, and Suzy Matin and husband Sina, of Southlake. She was the proud grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of two. She was a wonderful mother whose sharp wit and constant support will be sorely missed.
