Marion Zipfel (nee Kutchera) (formerly Bunker) passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015. She was born Jan. 25, 1923, in Wausau, to the late George and Mary Kutchera.
Marion worked at Wisconsin Telephone Co. for seven years in the late 1940s and 1950s. In 1947, she married Philip Bunker. After 43 years of marriage, Philip passed away. In 1993, she married Wilbur Zipfel and they were married for 13 years, with him passing away in 2006.
Marion loved playing canasta, going to the cottage on White Potato Lake, and having a chat with friends over coffee and dessert.
She is survived by her many nieces, nephews, stepchildren, other relatives and friends. Marion was preceded in death by her two longtime friends Verna Wagner and Ruth Moore; sister, Helen Sorenson; and brother, Clyde Kutchera.
A memorial gathering is set for 11 a.m. to noon Sunday, April 12, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. A celebration of Marion’s life will be at noon.
