Sarah Hall was the second child of eleven born to Avery and Lucy A. (Bacon) Hall on November 11, 1807, in Meriden, New Haven County, Connecticut, and she died on 12 Nov 1882 in Collins, Huron County, Ohio, at the age of 75. She moved with her parents to Ohio in 1820 and there she met her future husband. She married Cyrus Minor on 22 Sep 1830 in Huron County, Ohio, and together they had at least ten children: Charles E., Edwin Philip, Lucy R., Erastus C., Hallam B., Eliza Dolly, William Wallace, Olive D., Mitchell H., and Willard E. The first three were born in Ohio and then Sarah and Cyrus moved back to Connecticut before 1833 where the remainder of their children were born. Before 1850 the family moved back to Brighton, Lorain County, Ohio, where their last child, Willard, was born about 1849.
