Clara was born July 2, 1919, in Hopkins Twp, Whiteside Co, the daughter of William and Anna (Hayen) Schwitters. On Nov. 27, 1936 in Hopkins Twp, she was united in marriage to Carl V. Wiemken, until his passing in 1981. Clara then met Nevin Brown and in 1984 they married until his passing in 2002. She was a homemaker and a farmers wife. Clara enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family making large meals for all to come. She was the oldest member of St. Marks Lutheran Church, member of the Polo Area Senior Center and volunteered at Second Hand Rose in Polo.
Survivors include daughters Delores (Bob) Massey of Oregon; sons Marvin (Sandy) Wiemken of Winslow, IL, Paul (Beverly) Wiemken of Polo; 11 grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren; sister-in-law Lois Schwitters
She was preceded in death by great granddaughter Adrienne Prince, 1 Sister and 4 Brothers.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Polo with services immediately following at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, in Sterling, also on Thursday.
Memorials may be directed to St. Marks Lutheran Church, 201 N. Division, Polo or Serenity Hospice and Home, 1658 IL Rt 2, Oregon.
