CHILDREN:
Edward Eugene Schwitters 1940-
Leon Jerry Schwitters 1949-

According to his sister, Clara said he was the fastest corn picker of the family. One time he was on a manure spreader in the middle of winter and fell off onto a concrete slab. He got up and started working again; later on, finding out he broke his collar bone.

When Edward met Edna he said she was with some of his friends and saw her walking around town, and he thought she was pretty cute.

He had a wonderful sense of humor and he never had anything bad to say about anybody. He always thought of other people before himself and was a loving and caring person; devoted to his family, friends, faith, and work, and his morals and values were instilled into his family.
