Henry Reisbig Dies at Golden Age Lodge
Henry Reisbig who was born at Gridley, February 8, 1893, died at 9:25 o'clock Wednesday evening, January 9, 1963 at the Golden Age Lodge in Burlington.  He was the son of the late Henry and Anna Hegwald Reisbig and lived with his parents on the farm east of Gridley until 1939.  He had been blind for many years.  Following the death of his parents he had lived in various nursing homes.

Mr Reisbig is survived by two brothers, Conrad Reisbig of Gridley and William Reisbig of Burlington and three sisters, Mrs Sophia Highberger [s/b Hybarger], Mrs Kathryn Witzig and Miss Mary Reisbig of Peoria, Illinois.

Funeral services for Henry Jacob Reisbig were held at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Apostolic Christian church at Gridley and were conducted by Roy Wernli and Sam Huber.  Songs were by the church choir and were "How Shall It Be",  "In Sorrow and Pain", "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "God Will Take Care of You."  Casket bearers were: Ivan Beyer, Frank Kraft, Louis Kraft, Leo Kraft, Imon Huber, and Vernon Beyer.  Interment was in the Apostolic Christian cemetery.

Henry Jacob Reisbig, son of Henry and Anna (Katherine HEGWALD) Reisbig was born north of Gridley, Kansas, February 8, 1893 (? or 94) and departed this life at the Golden Age Lodge in Burlington, Kansas on January 9, 1963, at the age of 69 years, and 11 months.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, one sister and one brother died in infancy and a brother, Ben Reisbig passed away seventeen months ago. 

Survivors are three sisters Mrs Sophia Hybarger, Mrs Kathryn Witzig, Miss Mary Reisbig, all of Peoria, Illinois.  Two brothers, Conard [s/b Conrad] Reisbig, Gridley, Kansas and William Reisbig, Burlington, Kansas; one uncle, Phillip Reisbig, Kansas City, Kansas and a host of nieces and nephews.
