Elaine J. Cupp, age 81, New London passed away on Monday, December 08, 2014. She was born on November 9, 1933, in Pella, (Shawano County), daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Dey) Westphal. She was baptized, confirmed and married at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pella. She was united in marriage to Robert Cupp on May 12, 1956. He preceded her in death in 2010. Elaine was a longtime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid, New London. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the cottage on Pelican Lake and playing bridge.
Elaine is survived by her sons: Bob (Eve) Cupp and their children Aaron (Christa), Noelle (fiancé Bob) and Paige (special friend, Rob), New London; Brian (Janet) Cupp and their daughter Tara (Brad) Bitterman, Neenah; Bill (Doreen) Cupp, New London; and Brad (Lynn) Cupp, New London; sisters in-law, Joanne Poppy, Elaine Ast and Judy Gorges. She is further survived by great granddaughter, Nevaeh Cupp, also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special niece, Connie Thurston-McHugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Sylvia Etheridge and Sharon McHugh and a brother Bill Westphal.
Funeral services for Elaine will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
