Irma was born February 27, 1922 to Cecil Thomas Clements and Minnie Irene Anderson in Hibbard, Idaho, growing up with eleven brothers and sisters on the family farm. She attended schools in the area, graduating from Madison High School. Irma was in the Madison High School marching band, playing the flute and the bassoon. She attended Ricks College.
In 1959, Irma married William Norman Hill in the Idaho Falls Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. To this marriage were born three children: William Eric, Rolfe Cecil, and Kirsten Irene. Irma and Norman resided in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, then finally moving and settling down in Sunnydell, Idaho.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served faithfully in a variety of callings and served a mission in the Central States Mission.
Irma liked children, jigsaw puzzles, reading, photography and politics. She enjoyed hiking and backpacking in the Tetons. With family members, she backpacked from Teton Campground to Jenny Lake and liked that trail. She also took pleasure in camping in the Tetons at the Anderson Reunion every year with family members.
Irma is survived by her children, Eric (Julie) Hill and Kirsten Callejas; two sisters, Bertha Fullmer and Venese Bowen; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 29, at the Archer - Sunnydell LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
