Doon--Mrs. Dick Dorhout, 60, Doon, died at the Rock Valley hospital after suffering a heart attack at her home.
Services were held in the First Christian Reformed Church, of Rock Valley. The Rev. Paul Bakker officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center, under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.
Mrs. Dorhout, the former Barbara Vos, was born Aug. 16, 1918, at Chandler, Minn. She married Jacob Boeyink in September, 1943, at Sioux Center. He died Oct. 23, 1948. She married Dick Dorhout in February 1962. The couple resided in the Doon-Sioux Center area.
Survivors include the widower; two sons, Jim Boeyink of Sioux Center and Keith Boeyink of Canton, S.D.; a daughter, Mrs, Darrell (Karen) Mulder of Ireton; two step-sons, Lester J. and Harlan J. Dorhout, both of Ireton; four step-daughters, Mrs. Ron (Joyce) Daale of Hawarden, Mrs. Harold (Bernice) Vander Stoep of Sioux Center, Mrs. Keith (Sharon) Boeyink of Canton and Mrs. Bryant (Beverly) Schliker of Germany; two sisters, Mrs. Dick Babcock of Minneapolis and Mrs. Carl Menning of Alta; and 19 grandchildren.
