Mrs. Peter Gorte, 82, of R. 3, Manitowoc, died Friday evening at her home near
Newton after an illness of about six weeks.
She was born March 31, 1883, in Illinois, and was married to Peter Gorte Feb. 17,
1912 at Milwaukee.
Mrs. Gorte was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg,
Manitowoc County, and the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Henry, on the homestead farm, and four grand-
children.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. John's Chruch with the
Rev. A.T. Degner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery,
Sheboygan.
Friends may call at the Farley Funeral Home, Valders, from 2 p.m. Sunday to 11
a.m. Monday and then at the church.
