Cyril B. Hiltner, 74 of Belgrade, died February 3, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Cyril Bernard Hiltner was born on July 19, 1941, in Melrose, the son of John and Agnes (Dickhaus) Hiltner. He grew up outside of Melrose where he received his education at a small country school near his home.
On November 14, 1970, Cyril was united in marriage to Carolyn Speldrich at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Belgrade. This union was blessed with two sons. The family made their home in Melrose where Cyril worked at Maus Motors, Melrose Implement and farmed. In 1980, the family moved to rural Belgrade where he farmed until his death. Cyril was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. He loved farming, but also enjoyed working on machinery and was a handyman that could do anything.
Cyril is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carolyn of Belgrade; sons, Bruce and Tim of Belgrade; brothers, Alphonse of Melrose, and Leander (Linda) of Scandia; sisters: Martha Butkowski of New Munich, Lidwina Wolbeck of Grey Eagle, Clarissa Barthel of Grey Eagle, Anna Mae (Donald) Speldrich of Belgrade.
Cyril was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Edward, Edwin, Raymond, and Melvin; and sisters: Leona Wolbeck, Alvina Hiltner, and Juletta Kunstleben-Wolbeck.
