Leander George Hiltner "Andy" was born February 10th, 1935 in Melrose, MN. He died peacefully with wife and family by his side on December 9, 2022.

His parents were John and Agnes Hiltner. Leander was one of 14 children. He farmed when younger, married first wife Joyce Davis (divorced) and lived out his life in Scandia MN. He hobby farmed and worked for Pearson Candy Company, Gould Battery, and Waldorf Paper Company in St Paul MN. They had 3 children, LaDema, Vickie and Randy. In June of 1989 he married the love of his life Linda L. Cossentine. They enjoyed dancing, casino bus trips, playing cards, and family gatherings!

Leander enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, tinkering, fixing things and playing his favorite card games Tick and Cribbage with children and grandkids! He enjoyed playing his Concertina and listening to music on YouTube and loved being the center of attention! He was loved by many and will be greatly missed!

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Linda L Hiltner and children LaDema Hawkinson (John), Vickie Peterson (Douglas), and Randy Hiltner (Jean); grandchildren; Trisha Miller (Denver), Brooke Berner (Ryan), Donovan Peterson (Rachel), Samantha Graslee (Kody), Dejah Hawkinson (Marcus), Beau Hawkinson, Lance Hiltner, and Hannah Hiltner; siblings Lidwina Wolbeck, Alphonse Hiltner, Clarissa Barthel, Anna Mae Speldrich (Donald), Irene (Speldrich) Hiltner, Carolyn (Speldrich) Hiltner and several nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren!

He was preceded in death by parents John and Agnes; siblings Edward Hiltner, Leona (John) Wolbeck, Alvina Hiltner, Edwin (Clara) Hiltner, Martha (Florian,(Bud) Butkowski, Juletta (Henry) Kunstleben, Raymond (Alice) Hiltner, and Mevin Hiltner, Cyril Hiltner, Donna (Olmscheld) Hiltner, Lawrence Wolbeck and Eldred Barthel; son-in-laws Jeffrey Ahlstrand, Douglas Peterson (whom he lovingly referred to as "Duggy") and grandson Corey Letour,

He will be lovingly remembered for his love, laughter, sense of humor and his wit.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to family would be preferred.
