Funeral services for Mrs. Evelina Lyles Cage, 76, of Vidalia, LA will be held February 13, 2016 at 11:00am from St. Thomas Baptist Church in Levee Heights, in Ferriday, LA. She will be buried beside her husband at the Vidalia Cemetery in Vidalia, LA. Rev. Robert Stricklnd will officiate.
Mrs. Cage, daughter of Jack and Evelina Williams Cage was born in Shaw, LA and died at the M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX.
She was a member of St. Thomas Baptist and Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors are: her three children, Larry Cage and his wife, Janet of Baton Rouge, LA; Pamela C. Barnes and her husband, George of Vidalia; Angela Thompson of Hephzibah, GA; one brother, Charles Lyles of Ridgecrest, LA; four sisters, Carrie Lyles, Surnetta Cage and Margaret Jones all of Vidalia; Odessa Stevens of Ferriday,
Also twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Abner "Pap" Cage and a number of siblings.
