"The son of Henry and Louise (Fuoss) Rastede was born May 15, 1912, at Concord. He was baptized July 28, 1912, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concord and confirmed at Goodland, Kan., on March 26, 1926. He attended Myrtle Creek School and school at Goodland. He married Anita Victor on Oct. 14, 1937, at Immanuel Lutheran Church northwest of Wakefield. The couple farmed and fed livestock for 57 years. They farmed west of Concord and then near Allen for 50 years. They moved to town in 1997." He was survived by his wife and 1 sister. He was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
