Funeral services for M. C. Binner were conducted Wednesday morning from St. Felix Church with the Rev. F. L. Kaiser officiating. Burial was made in St. Felix cemetery. Mr. Binner operated the grocery and confectionery store on Pembroke Street for several years. He had been in failing health for over two years suffering from a painful ailment. Death was self-inflicted during a period of temporary derangement. He died at his residence above the store. M. C. [Mike] Binner was born in Greenfield Township March 25, 1890, and moved to Wabasha in 1925 after spending his childhood days on his parent’s farm. Mr. Binner, 50, did carpenter work and lived on a farm before coming to Wabasha to operate the store. On February 14, 1925, he was married to Christina Budde at St. Felix Church. He is survived by Mrs. Binner and one daughter, Joyce. His mother, Mrs. Matt Binner, four brothers and three sisters also survive. The brothers are: Andrew, John, and Emil of Wabasha and Martin of La Crosse. Sisters are Mrs. Ed Klug of Caledonia; Mrs. Charles Carrels and Mrs. Walter Balow of Wabasha. Casket bearers were all nephews, Donald and Ignatius Klug of Caledonia; Franklin Binner of Wabasha, Arnold Walch and Harold Welp of Plainview, and Harry Jensen of St. Paul.
