Mrs. Joyce E. Balow, age 51, of Riverside California, former Wabasha resident, died at her home Monday evening, July 14th, cause of death was cancer. Joyce was born in Winona, daughter of the late Michael C. Binner and Christena (Budde) Binner. She married Irving Balow of Wabasha at St. Felix in 1950. They moved to Riverside, California in 1959 where Mr. Balow is employed by the University of California as Dean of the School of Education. Mrs. Balow is survived by her husband, Irving; three sons, Thomas I., Santa Cruz, California; Michael C. and Robert J. at home; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Golden of Santa Cruz and Ann at home. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday July 17th at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Riverside, with interment in Olivewood cemetery.
