Sister Sylvester, O.P, lived 59 years as a Dominican sister having entered the Order in 1930 from Lott, TX. She had five brothers: Edmund, Walter, Anton, Henry and Leonard. An Aunt, Sister Dominica, was also a Dominican sister and an Uncle, Otto Niekamp, was a Catholic priest.
