William Runk, 69, of 1327 Nelson Street, died unexpectedly Thursday in Port Huron Hospital Born March 14, 1903 in Susannenthal, Russia, he had lived here since 1915. He married Ella Langolf on Oct 5, 1924 in Port Huron.

He owned and operated Runk Floor Covering Service. He was a member of St. Paul's American Lutheran Church, and a member of the Senior Citizens group.

He is survived by his widow: a son, William Runk, St. Clair Shores; a daughter, Mrs. Norma Southard, Avoca; a brother, Adolph Runk, Port Huron; two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Falk, Port Huron, and Mrs. Amelia Schumann, McGregor; five grandsons, two great granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's American Lutheran Church. Rev. Joel C. Jorgenson, pastor of St. Martin's American Lutheran Church, and Rev. David Genter, pastor of St. Paul's American Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. John Runk, Robert Runk, Edward F. Toles, Fred Meinhardt, Lyell a Schneider and John Schumann will be pallbearers.
