Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids for Clara Schaff, age 81, who died Sunday at her daughters home in Wheaton. Rev. Eugene Doyle will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids. St. Monica's Society will pray at 6:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Clara was born June 3, 1923 in Brisbane, ND to Felix and Braxada (Volk) Leintz. She married Jacob Schaff on June 14, 1941 in Brisbane, ND. Clara was a homemaker and also worked at Jennie-0 for 8 years and Animal Fair for 2 years. Clara has lived in various cities in the United States as well as Canada, but has resided in Sauk Rapids since 1985. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was active in St. Monica's Society and Befriender Ministry.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Rosetta & Robert Sobek of Coon Rapids, Emma & Donn Oscarson of Wheaton, Maggie & Robert Barrios of Coto de Caza, CA, Donna Anderson of Coto de Caza, CA, Sandy Schaff and Randy Scherer of Kneeland, CA, Debbie & Victor Johnson of Poway, CA, David Schaff & Terry Quinn of St. Joseph, Richard & Beverly Schaff of Maple Grove, Jacob Schaff, Jr. of Rancho Mirage, CA; brothers and sisters, Helen Fergel, Katie Dressier, John Leintz, Ann Wikenheiser all of Bismark, ND, Adam Leintz of Mandan, ND, Rose Shobe of Idaho, Michael Leintz of Orange, CA; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jacob on February 13, 1989; daughter, Delores Schaff; brother, Lazarus Leintz; and grandson, John Sobek.
