WITH the United States forces in various branches of the service are the four, sons of the late William West and wife of San Francisco. The West brothers were born and brought up in this city, and after the death of their parents maintained their home at 1144 Larkin street. Before entering the service they were in the wholesale drug business. The eldest, Harry P. West, is in the 863d Infantry, now in France; William is with a base hospital detachment en route for France; Robert is at the Presidio in the quartermaster corps, and George, the youngest, is at sea.

REDWOOD CITY. May 21.--Robert B. West, 53. an accountant for the Western Sugar Refinery of Sin Francisco died suddenly here at his home. 720 Brewster avenue. yesterday after an illness of two months. He was a native of Berkeley and had lived here for the past four years. He was the husband of Mrs. Edna L. West and the brother of George S. West of Burlingame, Harry West of Oakland and William West of El Cerrito. Funeral services will be held from the Layng and Tinney chapel here at 2 p. m. on Friday and will be followed by burial in Alta Mesa Memorial park.
