In the back right corner of the cemetery there is an unmarked grave for John BRINKMAN. BRINKMAN homesteaded with Bernhard Mehnert (they walked together to Oklahoma from New York) and they ran their combined land as a partnership -- sharing a residence, barn, shop and farmed their land together. They are listed together on census records. John BRINKMAN was born around 1852/53 in Germany and he never married. He died on Christmas Eve sometime between the census records of 1920 and 1930.
