Marie Gessler, 99, formerly of Hubbell Avenue, Syracuse, died Wednesday at Stonehedge Chittenango Nursing Home.
Mrs. Gessler organized The All Circles at the former St. Paul's Evangical Lutheran Church of Syracuse and was active in its missionary society. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Liverpool.
She was a cash auditor many years at Chappell's Department Store and treasurer of the Spare Time Bowling League of Syracuse for 18 years.
Her husband, Carl O., died in 1942.
Surviving are two daughters, Arlene Couse of North Syracuse and Carlotta Petrie of Phoenix; a grandson; and four great-grandchildren.
Services are private, the Rev. Diane Wheatley officiating. Burial is in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
