Animal Actor. Bozo the Bear was a Kodiak bear raised from infancy at Sunset Zoo in Manhattan, Kansas. By the time she was six months old, she was acquired by a couple from Kansas who trained her to be a performer. Bozo performed as an actress in the film "The Legend of Black Thunder Mountain," as well as in television productions "The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams," "A Bear's Life," "A Gentleman Tinker," "Adams Ark." "Adams Cub," and "Gold Is Where You Find It." Bozo was said to have been very gentle and easy to work with. She passed away from heart disease at Folsom Children's Zoo.
