Thomas E. Eckerman, 86, of Hamilton, MT; died Friday, February 21, 2003 at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.

He was born October 8, 1916 in Ranchester, Wyoming.

Tommy was raised in Sheridan, Wyoming, where he graduated high school in 1934. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942 and was discharged in 1945. After moving to Denver, Colorado, he was owner and president of Eckerman Brokerage Company for 40 years. He and his wife retired in Hamilton in 1994.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, and 12 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife Janet of Hamilton, MT; two children Candice Anderson of Florida and Hunter Eckerman of Colorado; three step-children Sharon Heedum of Colorado, Marilyn Morris of Hamilton, MT; and Ron Hebert of Colorado; and five grandchildren.

Private family services will be held. Arrangements and cremation are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel and Crematory in Hamilton.

The family suggests memorials to the Bitterroot Humane Society, P.O. Box 57, Hamilton, MT 59840.
