George was the son of Siles Wright & Martha/Mattie Louise (Frederick) Grube. At the time of his death George was chairman of the doard of directors of the Punxutawney National Bank and had served many years as the bank's president.
He was first married to Lorena Korb who died February 22, 1955. He later married Gertrude Shankosky of Punxsutawney.
