Hardin- August Beer, 80, a lifetime resident of Hamburg, died at 6:05 a.m. Friday at the Garnet Nursing Home, Jerseyville, where he had been a patient since July 24. He had been in failing health for the past 3 years.
The retired farmer was born in Hardin, Sept. 6, 1887.
Only survivors are a sister, Mrs. Lilly Hamilton of Fieldon, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at the C.C. Hanks Funeral Home, Hardin, this evening.
The Rev, Ralph Anderson will officiate at the services at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. interment will be in Indian Creek Cemetery.
