Louise is survived by two daughters, Roberta (Melvin) Montague of Norway and Linda (Ken) Traut of Cedar Rapids; one son, Stanley (Judy) McClurg of Cedar Rapids; eleven grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; an infant granddaughter, son-in-law, Kenneth Andrews, and sister, Virginia Kysely.
Louise was born on September 3, 1921 in El Paso, TX the daughter of Joseph and Elva Sutton Swallom. She married Charles McClurg in September 1939 in Martelle and they were divorced in1948. They remarried in Forsythe, MO in September 1982. Louise retired in 1981 after 35 years at Wilson-Farmstead Foods. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, the Women of the Moose, and a 50 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Louise loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and great grandchildren, solving crossword puzzles, traveling, and watching her favorite sports teams, the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Cubs.
Memorials may be directed to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church and the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
