BAECHLER, Arvilla Passed away peacefully at her residence, Beechwood Manor, Waterloo on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Arvilla was born January 28, 1931, the only child of the late William and Louise (Schrag) Litwiller. She graduated from Lowville Academy, New York, attended Goshen College, Indiana and graduated in 1953 from Buffalo General Hospital School of Medical Technology. She worked in the Buffalo area, and co-owned Kenmore Clinical Laboratory and Amherst Clinical Laboratory. She moved to Arizona in 1970 and was employed by Scottsdale Memorial Hospital until 1989. Arvilla returned to New York to care for her mother and lived there until moving to Canada in 2000. Arvilla was predeceased by her first husband Charles Finkenbinder (1992) and her second husband Ray Baechler (2006). She is survived by cousins in New York, Florida, North Carolina. Remembered by special cousin Lois and Darwin Anneler or Rushford Lake, and by the Baechler family; Wayne and Anne Baechler of Tavistock, Carol and Franc Gorenc of Kitchener, Betty and Joe Scherer of Long Point, Roger and Lorrie Baechler, Rich Baechler, Donna and Royal Kelterborn, Bruce and Chris Baechler, Connie and Steve McNeil, all of New Hamburg, fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. A memorial visitation will take place at Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Friday from 6-9 p.m. The memorial service will be held at Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. Pastors Ilene Bergen and Steve Drudge officiating. Interment of ashes in Steinmann Mennonite Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated by the family.
