He was a supervisor for Pradco Inc. in Fort Smith, Hickory Springs Manufacturing Co. in Fort Smith and Leggett& Platt Inc. in Van Buren and a member of Lavaca First Baptist Church.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Measles Cemetery in Lavaca under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; one daughter, Kim Blackford of Lavaca; one son, Johnny House of Lavaca; two sisters, Betty Berry of Bloomer and Connie Cox of Fort Smith; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
