INJURY MONTH AGO HASTENS DEATH PIONEER
Mrs. Barbara Kaufman (sic) , widow of the late Peter Kaufman (sic) and mother
of Joseph Kaufman, manager of the Palace Laundry here, died at the Holy Family
hospital last night, death being due to injuries which Mrs. Kaufman received
when she fell on the icy pavement and fractured her hip.
The accident happened a month ago and owing to her advanced age, Mrs. Kaufman
was unable to combat the injury and recuperate.
Mrs. Kaufman has been making her home with her son at 1322 South Thirteenth
street, and was eighty-one years of age. Five children are left to mourn her
demise, being Joseph residing here, Mrs. Bunker, and Mrs. Westgate at Madison,
Louis and William at Mishicot.
The funeral will be held Thursday morning from the Catholic church at Mishicot.
