Peter Biro Jr., 44 of 24 Garver Ave., died Saturday night at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C., following heart surgery.

He was a treasurer of Peter Biro & Sons, New Brunswick travel agency and insurance company.

A member of the board of directors of New Brunswick Explorer Scouts, he formerly served on the board of directors of the New Brunswick Junior Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Biro was born in this City, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Biro, Sr., and was graduated for Rider College. He was a member of the Middlesex Association of Insurance Agents; New Jersey Association of Insurance Agents; American Hungarian Democratic Club; Hungarian American Athletic Club and Ph Sigma Nu fraternity.

Besides his parents, surviving are his wife, the former Jennie Bors; a son, Thomas Peter; a brother, William of North Brunswick, and a sister Mrs. Viola Simon of New Brunswick.

The funeral will take place Wednesday at 9;30 a.m. from the Gowen Funeral Home, 233 Somerset St., New Brunswick, NJ followed by a 10 a.m. service at Bayard Street Presbyterian Church, New Brunswick.

Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick.
