Don L. Pfaff

Services for Don L. Pfaff, 58, of Casper, were conducted Saturday morning in the Highland Park Community Church by Rev. John Spear. Memorial services were conduced that afternoon in the Bethel Baptist Church in Torrington by the Rev. Rick Carrell.

Mr. Pfaff died Nov. 21 at his home following a long illness. He was born Jan. 22, 1937 in Torrington to Calvin and Anna (Herdt) Pfaff. He spent his early years in Torrington before moving to Van Nuys, Cal. for a time.

In 1951, he returned to Yoder. Following high school graduation in Torrington, he went to work for a meat packing company before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1956. Following his discharge in 1959, he returned to Lingle where he started working at the Lingle Trading Post.

On Nov. 29, 1959, he married Ardith Erlich in Torrington. Following their marriage they lived in Lingle, Torrington, Scottsbluff, Neb. and Phoenix, Ariz.

In 1982, they moved to Glenrock and in 1984 they moved to Casper, where Mr. Pfaff started work at Hilltop National Bank. In 1985, he started his own business, Don's Paint and Repair. He and his son operated the business until the time of his death.

Mr. Pfaff was a member of Highland Park Community Church and served as precinct committeeman for the Gideons.

Survivors include his wife; a son, David of Casper; a daughter, Donna Barnard of Westboro, Wis.; a sister, Dolores Eilsenbarth of Torrington; a brother, Howard, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and four grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers.

Interment is to be in the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery.

The family would appreciate memorials to Highland Park Community Church, Hospice Program or to the Gideons.

Bustard's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
