Oscar Berghaus, 69, Fairfield R2, died Monday night of a heart attack at Innsbruck, Austria. He had begun a visit to Europe a week ago and planned to visit relatives and friends in Europe until October.
A resident of the Fairfield area for the last three years, he was a native of Wuppertal, Germany, who had come to the U.S. in 1930 and who had been an interior decorator in Glen Cove, N.Y., before retiring three years ago and moving to Adams County.
He was a member of the Glen Cove Lutheran Church. Surviving are two sons, Herbert Berghaus, New York City and Frederick Berghaus, Roselle Park, N.J., a brother, William Berghaus, Fairfield R1 and a sister, Mrs. Anna Rutten, Wuppertal, Germany.
