Julia (Bak) Gorban, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. Born April 27, 1920 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret (Bunk) Bak and attended local schools. Julia attended St. Stan's School and was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. During World War II Julia worked at several factories and then worked as a cafeteria manager for 35 years at Niagara University until her retirement.. She is survived by her son, James (Diane) Gorban; her sisters, Apolonia (late Louis) Milczarski and Elizabeth (Casimer) Tubinis and several special nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Walter Gorban; daughter, Diane (Marian "Jack") Wodo, Jr.; grandson, Marian "Jack" Wodo III; brothers, Stanley (Bernice) Bak, John (Stella) Bak, Edward (Dorothy) Bak and Peter (Irene) Bak, and her sister, Laura (Frank) Orbin.. Friends may call Friday, October 10th, from 3-8 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319-24th St., cor. of Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 9:30 AM on Saturday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Divine Mercy Parish, 24th and Niagara St., with Rev.
