Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Alice Rose Evens, age 79 of St. Cloud who passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2006 at the Sterling Park Health Care Center in Waite Park. Reverend Timothy Baltes will officiate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday and after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Alice was born on December 25, 1926 in Freeport, Minnesota to Joseph and Anna (Vonbokern) Austing. She married Othmar "Red" Evens on October 29, 1955 at St. Frederick's Catholic Church in Verndale. Alice was employed as a supervisor by Fingerhut Manufacturing for 25 years until her retirement in 1989. She resided in her St. Cloud home until October of 2006. Alice spent her retirement playing cards, sewing and baking. She was a member of St. Paul's parish.

Alice is survived by her children, Joyce of Waimea, Hawaii and James (Sandy) of St. Cloud; sisters and brother, Dorothy Solarz of Upsala and Beatrice Rademacher of Meire Grove and Albert "Sonny" of South St. Paul.

She was preceded in death by her husband in November of 1973, two sisters and three brothers.
