Mrs. Nelson Dies After Three Week Illness
Sinks Gradually Following Slight Surgical Operation-Body Taken to Macon, Ga.
Mrs. Charles L. Nelson, wife of Charles L. Nelson, manager of the Fidelity and Casualty Company, died at 2 o'clock yesterday morning at the family home, 830 Fourth avenue, after an illness of three weeks. Mrs. Nelson had been in declining health for several months, but was not considered critically ill until a few weeks ago. Then she underwent a slight surgical operation. She was surrounded by members of her family when death occurred. She was a native of Macon, Ga., but had lived in Louisville the greater part of her life. She was twice married, her first husband having been Joseph Bond, who died many years ago. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Allen Withers, of Kansas City, and Miss Louise Bond, of Louisville. The funeral will be held at Macon, Ga., at 2 o'clock this afternoon, and the burial will be in the Bond lot in the Macon cemetery. The body left this city at 7 o'clock last night. Those selected as pallbearers are John P. Starks, Isaac F. Starks, A. J. Carroll, Henry O. Gray, B. G. Boyle and Kenneth McDonald.
