PRESCOTT, June 3 — Nancy Beale Flood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Beale of Jerome, exchanged vows with Jesse N. Kendall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kendall of Headley, Tex., at 8 o'clock Saturday night in the court chambers of Judge Richard Lamson, officiant
Dr. William Edward Addis ( Find a Grave Memorial # 75359064 )
William Addis (Nancy's father) came from Indiana/Kentucky. For years Nancy corresponded with a cousin, Elizabeth (a school teacher, oldest daughter of her uncle). They talked on the phone, but Nancy did not want to meet Elizabeth for fear that meeting face to face would somehow disappoint her--an ultra romantic. During the war Nancy's brother Bill, on his way back from the war, stopped by Louisville and met all of his cousins. They seemed well to do. Nancy met some of them (not Elizabeth) when they came to CA to visit their orange groves. Both Nancy's father and uncle were optometrists ("eye doctor" but not sure if they were ophthalmologists or optometrists).
Catherine Ganey (Nancy's mother) came from St Louis, MI. Supposedly she traveled to Mexico with her parents and met William Addis.
First husband:
Elliott Jameson Flood
Children;
Lawrence Flood
