Funeral Services for Ella Boelter, age 98, of Inman, will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, July 22, 2016, at Christ Lutheran Church in O’Neill, with burial in the O’Neill Cemetery.

Rev. John Ryding will officiate.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, 2016, from 5:30-7:30 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill.

Ella passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital in O’Neill.

Ella was born on July 11, 1918, in Berlin, Germany, to Herman and Alma (Hohndorf) Eisert. Ella and her family immigrated to the United States through Ellis Island in 1923 and they eventually settled in Redbird, NE, near other family members. She graduated from O’Neill High School in 1937 with an extra year of Normal Training and received her Teaching Certificate. Ella taught school in Holt and Knox County before moving to Cedar Rapids, IA, where she worked for Collins Radio.

Ella met Boyd Boelter at a dance and they dated for several years while he was in the Army before they married. On May 3, 1945, she married Boyd at Christ Lutheran Church in O’Neill, NE. To this union, 4 children were born: Marilyn, Karen, Edie, and Bob. Boyd passed away in 2003 after 58 years of marriage.

Ella was well known for her great storytelling. She also was very patriotic, and she loved her flowers and garden.

Ella was a 4-H leader for 20 years, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Holt County Election Commission, and Christ Lutheran Ladies Aide. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ella is survived by three daughters, Marilyn Fick and husband Walt of Manhattan, KS, Karen Genereux and husband Arthur of Bartlett, NE, Edie Noffke and husband Randy of Norfolk, NE; one daughter-in-law, Sabra Boelter of Stanton; 17 grandchildren, Adrian Boelter and wife Sarah, Justin Boelter and wife Belinda, Brooke Mabry, Claire Voecks and husband Cory, Kevin Boelter, Annette Sherman and husband Kyle, Alissa Gaps, Adam Fick, Angie Reid and husband Tony, Christi Larby and husband Tim, Louis Genereux and wife Jessica, Ellie Ita and husband Rob, Art Genereux and wife Tina, Kim Dobias and husband Craig, Julie Starman, Luke Noffke and wife Sarah, Matthew Noffke and wife Barbara; 25 great grandchildren, Wyatt and Garrett Boelter, Alliyah and Bentley Voecks, Grant Sherman, Nolan Gaps, Emily Chohon and husband Aaron, Dylan, Ashley Tyler, and Kathleen Larby, Robyn, Sam, and Gracie Ita, Hunter, Chase, Jager, and Caine Genereux, Hailey and Trenton Genereux, Jordan Dugan, Justice and Jadyn Starman, Lydia Noffke, and Margot Noffke, two great great grandchildren; Claire and Reid Chohon; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Boyd in 2003; her son, Bob in 2003; grandson, Michael Dugan in 2003; and two brothers, Carl and Werner Eisert.
