Noreen O’Neill Comer, age 85, of Lewisburg, Kentucky, passed away on July 23, 2016. She was born April 6, 1931, in Minerva, Kentucky, to the late Charles and Alice Slattery O’Neill. She was the beloved wife of 64 years of Edward Comer. She attended St. Patrick School for 12 years and was a member of St. Patrick Church. She was formerly an active member of St. Rose of Lima Church, where she taught CCD for many years. She was a member of the Lewisburg Homemakers and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She was a 4-H leader and enjoyed playing bridge.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Comer is survived by: 10 children, Rev. Michael Comer, pastor of St. Patrick Church, Mark Comer, Kathleen (Mark) Tubbesing, Suellen (Al) Faris, Frank (Debby) Comer, Ann (LeRoy) Gallenstein, Mary Lee (Ken) Glore, Maureen Thelen, Chuck (Amy) Comer and Melissa (Bill) Reynolds; 19 grandchildren, Rick and Sarah Tubbesing, Laura (Carlos) Armenteros, Colin Faris, Katy Comer, Richard, Wesley and Bethany Wentworth, Erin (Tanner) Ball, Alex and Taylor Glore, Erica and Kit Thelen, Joseph, Jackson, Charlie and Julia Comer, and Naomi and Jude Reynolds; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Leo (Lillian) O’Neill; a sister, Lillian (Richard) Beaulieu; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; and four siblings, Margaret Ann Comer, Charlotte Ashley, Charles T. O’Neill and Jamesene Gibson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, at St. Rose of Lima Church, in May’s Lick, celebrated by her son, Rev. Michael Comer. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church and Wednesday from 10:00 to11:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Patrick School, 318 Limestone Street, Maysville, Kentucky 41056. Palmer Funeral Home and Crematory, in May’s Lick, is serving the family.
