He was born May 6, 1922 at Elgin to Peter and Anna (Buelt) Baum.
He was married on Aug. 17, 1948 to Doris Kerkman at Raeville.
He was survived by his wife, 5 sons and their wives, 3 daughters and their husbands, 3 brothers: Roman at Elgin, William at Central, Oregon; Francis at Neligh; 1 sister Rita Funk at Ewing, 19 grandchildren.
