Lorraine H. Duchow, age 92, of River Wood Place, 950 S. Rapids Rd, Manitowoc, formerly of 22520 Groh Rd, rural Chilton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at home with her husband by her side.

Lorraine was born on September 19, 1924 in the town of Franklin, daughter of the late Albert and Katherine (Naidl) Jung. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1942. Lorraine worked at the Manitowoc County ASCS office until marriage. On July 30, 1947, she married Emil Duchow at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Collins. The couple owned and operated their dairy farm until retirement. Lorraine enjoyed sewing, canning, baking, cooking, gardening, making maple syrup, crocheting afghans for her entire family, making baby blankets, and the highlight of her Summer was the Manitowoc County Fair. She especially loved spending time with her family. Lorraine was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and Ladies Aide, the Collins Senior Citizens, and the Niles Homemakers.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Emil of Manitowoc; two sons and daughter-in-law: Richard (Ann) Duchow and Gerald Duchow all of rural Chilton; three daughters: Katherine Johnstone of St. Nazianz, Patricia Woelfel of Chilton, and Tammy Kenneke of Valders; daughter-in-law: Dorothy Duchow of Manitowoc; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Adolph and Katie (Steltenpohl) Duchow, one son, Thomas Duchow, one daughter, Jean Hack, one daughter-in-law: Julianne Duchow, two sons-in-law: Ronald Meyer and Jimmy Kenneke, one granddaughter: Rachelle Woelfel, grandchild, baby Duchow, two sisters and five brothers-in-law: Alberta (Arnold) Tienor, Eleanor (Adolph) Duchow, Willard (Sylvia) Duchow, Herman Duchow, and Harvey Duchow, two brothers and one sister-in-law: George (Eleanor) Jung and Quirrn Jung, and one niece, Delores.

Bastian.Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Collins. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Robert Weiss with burial to follow in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
