Patricia A. Woelfel, age 65, of Hilbert, died on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). She was born January 10, 1953 in Manitowoc, daughter of Emil Duchow and the late Lorraine (Jung) Duchow.

Throughout her life, Pat exuded a strong work ethic. She was employed by Tecumseh in New Holstein for 30 years and upon their closure she worked at Endries in Brillion for as long as she was able.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert.

With a friendly and outgoing personality, Pat enjoyed bowling because it afforded her the opportunity to visit and laugh with friends. She did take the game seriously, though, and bowled in the state tournament every year and had even traveled to Las Vegas for a bowling tournament in the early 80’s. She did enjoy traveling and collected a magnet of every state she visited. Beyond magnets, Pat collected many and various trinkets which adorned her home in every room.

In her free time, Pat appreciated time spent with friends going to play Bingo, or attend Hodag’s and Country USA every year in Oshkosh. She took time to visit craft fairs, tend to her flower garden and was known to create delicious meals and baked goods for those she loved.

Pat’s children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and she always looked forward to spending time with them. She faithfully supported her children in life and with all their events. She loved watching them growing up and building their own families. When the grandchildren were there she had a smile on her face and enjoyed them running around, the giggles, noise, and smiles that they brought to her, and always took their help with opening presents on her birthdays and Christmas.

Pat will be fondly remembered for her fiercely optimistic outlook on life and her sincere care for those around her. Survivors include her children: Daniel (Melanie) Woelfel, Tony (Katie) Woelfel, Susan (Ross) McDowell, Sarah (Mark) Crowe; her grandchildren: Devin, Marissa, Theo, Amelia, Julia, and Graham; her father: Emil Duchow; her brothers: Richard (Ann) Duchow, Gerald Duchow; her sisters: Katherine Johnstone, Tammy Kenneke; and a sister-in-law: Dorothy Duchow. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Rachelle Woelfel; her mom: Lorraine Duchow; her siblings: Thomas Duchow, Jean Hack; a sister-in-law: Julianne Duchow; and a brother-in-law: Jim Kenneke.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church (108 S. 6th St.) in Hilbert with Rev. Michael Betley officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, April 27, 2018 and on Saturday at the church from 9:00 am until 10:45 am.

Pat's children would like to especially thank Calumet County Hospice and the team from Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton for all the support and care over the past few years. We would also like to thank all the family and friends that took time to visit with our mom, we know it really brightened her days.
