LIBERTY: Mrs. Isaleen Connaway, 99 years old, died early Monday morning at her home on East Sycamore street. She had been in failing health for a long time. She was the oldest resident of Union county. She was born in the county and with the exception of three years, had spent her entire life here. She was a member of the Presbyterian church. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Lura Elliott of Anderson. Mrs. W. I. Hill of San Diego, Calif., Mrs. Carol Conner of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Howard Widdows, and Miss Leah Connaway of Liberty; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren. Three grandsons and four great-grandsons are in the service. Funeral services for Mrs. Connaway will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. in the Fosdick Funeral home, with Rev. Garth Salmon in charge. Burial will be in West Point cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday.
