Linda was born in Rapid City, October 6, 1947, to Willis and Verna Lyons Seitzinger.
Linda grew up in Rapid City for part of her life, before moving to Denver, and then New Mexico.
She graduated from high school in Farmington, NM, and then went to Black Hills State University. Linda worked in Rapid City at Western South Dakota Community Action agency where she served families in need.
She served on the staff of Head Start Parent Involvement, Community Development, and served as the Executive Director of Western South Dakota Community Action from 1981 to present.
Linda also initiated a number of community programs including, Emergency Homeless Assistance Project, Memory Lane Thrift Store, SD Prisoner support group, Employment Assistance program, and many other programs that benefited the needy in our community.
She is survived by her son, four grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, ; 2 brothers,
She was preceded in death by her father, Willis Seitzinger.
Visitation is Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, from 6-8 pm, with Celebration of Life services Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016 at 10 am, both at Kirk Funeral Home.
