Born on February 11, 1926 in Canajoharie, NY, she was the daughter of Fred Crosier and Alice Raymond Crosier. She was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, Class of 1943 and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Oeser was a loving mother and wife while also working with her husband on their Ox Bow Dairy Farm. She had also worked for Beech-Nut in Canajoharie in the office, as well as for Bartholomew’s Auction Barn and Empire Livestock Auction Barn. She retired from her job as a Cook at the Montgomery County Jail at the age of 80.
Mrs. Oeser was a lifelong member of the Sprakers Reformed Church, where she served as Treasurer of Ladies Aide. She was a past voting inspector for the Town of Root. She was a member of the Ox Teamsters Association. She loved cooking, baking, traveling to Amish Country in PA, and opening her home to everyone, often having big family dinners. She was proud of her tight knit family.
On January 12, 1946 at her parent’s home, Gladys was married to Albert A. Oeser, Jr. He preceded her in death on October 12, 2005. She was also predeceased by her sons, Thomas Oeser on September 8, 1993, David Oeser on June 19, 2007, Randy Oeser on November 18, 2014; and a brother, Raymond Crosier.
Mrs. Oeser is survived by her 4 daughters, Carol & Art Meka of Canajoharie, NY, Linda Logan of Stone Arabia, NY, Vicki Casler of Sprakers, NY, Lori & Jim Rouse of Canajoharie, NY; 4 sons, Albert H. & Donna Oeser of Sprakers, NY, Clay & Pat Oeser of Sprakers, NY, Gary & Marie Oeser of Palatine Bridge, NY, Don & Judy Oeser of Sprakers, NY; sister, Elaine Roehrig of Deerfield, NY; 37 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Fonda, NY.
