Funeral service for Willie Mullins, 63, of Wisner, LA will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 11, 2016, in the chapel of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. Danny Davis and Rev. Thomas Peoples officiating. Burial will be in Harris Cemetery, under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home-Winnsboro, LA.
Willie, a farmer and oil field worker, was born on June 6, 1953, in Delhi, LA to the union of Cornelius Mullins and Vanada Cobb Mullins, and passed from this life on Thursday, November 10, 2016, in Wisner, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Vanada Mullins; wife, Betty Janell Jones Mullins; son, Gerald Glen Mullins; sisters, Faye Mullins Haxby Anderson, Pearlie Mullins Taylor, and Annie Pearl Mullins; and brothers, Walter "Mull" Mullins, Sonny Mullins, and Lonnie Ray Mullins.
Survivors left to cherish his memory are his son, Charlie Edward Mullins and wife Kelly of Jonesville, LA, Ricky Mullins of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Amanda Lowery and husband James of Shreveport, LA; sisters, Cornelia Dale Mullins Berry and husband Willie of Wisner, LA, and Georgia Anne Mullins Pendleton of LaPlace, LA; brothers, Charles ‘Ed’ Mullins and wife Harriet of Souix City, IA, and Joe David Mullins and wife Sharon of Winnsboro, LA; and grandchildren, Ramzey Mullins, Caleb Mullins, and 5 others. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Roy Denmon, Guy Barfield, Tim Jones, SR, Timothy Jones, JR, JD Beviel, and David Mullins.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Pat Scott, Keith Bringol, JB Berry, Samuel Berry, Ryan McDaniel, Seth Barfield.
