Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Lucia (Mazzarella) D’Attore.
Lucy had been a church organist and choir director for many years. She also volunteered to teach music in the Cranston School System and at Our Lady of Mercy School as well as volunteering for Seniors Helping Others. She was a former member of the American Guild of Organists.
She is survived by her daughters, Christine M. Brennan and Stephanie “Stevie” J. Quinn; grandsons, Michael J. Whetstine and Shane and Rory Quinn; great granddaughters, Helen and Elaine Whetstine and a sister, Gloria Glover. She was preceded in death by seven siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 30th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Greenwich.
