OBITUARY: Dodge County Pioneer Mayville, Wis., March 19, 1936 (Translation) On Sunday Nicholas Sonnentag died after an illness that started in October. He was 74 years old. He lived in Rubicon since 1880 and was well known there. He was born on the 6th of December 1861 in the Town of Herman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernhard Sonnentag. On the 22nd of November 1887 he married Miss Magdalene Rohlinger. His wife died on the 22nd of February in 1911. Sonnentag leaves behind two sons, Oscar and Walter, one daughter Celia, and three brothers, Conrad, John and Joseph. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at Rubicon. Rev. Frank Weis officiated."
