OBITUARY: Marvin Biskupski, April 20, 1933 ~ December 21, 2016 - reprinted from the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home website

Marvin "Tubby" Biskupski, age 83, a lifelong resident of Hastings Minn., died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 after a recent illness.

Marvin was born April 20, 1933 in Hastings to Joseph and Christina (Beissel) Biskupski. He attended local schools, graduating from Hastings High School in 1953. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was married to Arlene Kron on November 26, 1960.

Marvin was the owner and operator of Biskupski Carpet Cleaning and Fire Damage Repair for 40 years. He grew up in the "Cow Town" part of Hastings and was proud of it. He was a coach for the Golden Gloves for many years.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Arlene, a brother Howard Biskupski and a sister Audrey Braun.
Marvin is survived by 4 children, Pamela (Bob) Lagermeier, Scott (Jessica) Biskupski, Jackie (Betty) Biskupski, and June (Craig) Lands; grandchildren, Julia and Marcus Lands, Drew Lagermeier, Zach Biskupski, Archie Biskupski and Jack Iverson; his sisters, Sr. Christine (Dolores) Biskupski, Betty (Russell) Anderson, Katy (Lloyd) Lindstedt and Rita Biskupski; brothers, Donald "Ducky" Biskupski, Jerry "Jiggs" (Mary) Biskupski and Arnie Biskupski; also by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth Street in Hastings. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery with Military honors provided by the Hastings VFW Lyle Russell Post #1210. Visitation times are from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 201 East Seventh Street in Hastings and one hour prior to the Mass at church on Wednesday.

Memorials are preferred to be given for Alzheimer's Research in lieu of flowers.
