He was born in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Salvatore Antignani and Adriana (Galasso) An-tignani. Robert is survived by his devoted mother Adriana, his brother Vincent, his sister-in-law Victoria, his sister Carmela Yeatman, and his nephews and nieces Nicholas, Giuliana, Isabella, Nathaniel and Sophia. In addition, he is survived by his aunts and uncles Ferdinando & Antonia Rossi, Romeo & Mary Ellen Galasso and Sandra Galasso. Robert will also be missed by his many cousins, aunts and uncles in Italy and his soon to be brother-in-law Ron Kuhn.

Robert attended Brandywine High School and later graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. At the start of his junior year he sustained a traumatic brain injury as a direct result of a bicycle accident. He spent a year in rehabilitation at A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children prior to his return to high school. During his rehabilitation, he had to re-learn basic tasks such as walking and talking. Although his prognosis for recovery was very dim, he overcame many obstacles and amazed everyone. Robert's personal and professional accomplishments truly surpassed all ex-pectations, due in large part to his hard work, perseverance and his family's love.

Robert was employed by Bank of America for the last 15 years. He began his career in banking after MBNA started their Support Services Division. This division allows people with disabilities to work in an environment that empowers them to succeed. Robert was given numerous promotions within his department and had countless positive reviews. He flourished in his work environment and was proud of his accomplishments. He made a positive impact on his coworkers and managers, and they made an impact on Robert's life as well.
